You will see the main steps to disassemble and replace the valve stem seals. This operation is performed when the engine's behaviour is no longer normal, with loss of power, compression, and sometimes your car may not start; this is because the seals wear out, allowing oil to enter the combustion chamber: additionally, there is a risk of breaking the valves themselves.

You need to disassemble the cylinder head with the camshaft and remove the valves using specific tools designed for valve disassembly. The cost of this operation can be high; it largely depends on the type of car.
