How to Adjust the Handbrake Play

If you feel play in the lever when pulling the handbrake, tighten it using a 10 mm T-key in a clockwise direction, making a full turn, and try moving the vehicle forwards and backwards. If the result is unsatisfactory, make another full turn. Ensure the vehicle is on level ground! Adjustments should be made with the handbrake pulled three clicks. Tightening (turning right) engages the brake. Loosening (turning left) releases the brake. To keep track of the adjustment, mark it with a marker. You can then refit the cover in place.
