The so-called "clutch pedal play" is the small movement (between 1 and 3 cm) that we perceive when we press the pedal, before it starts to resist, and that is regulated by the manufacturer. If the "play" becomes excessive, the clutch may not disengage completely, making it difficult to change gears, and prematurely wearing out the clutch disc and release bearing. On the other hand, if the "play" is insufficient, the clutch may slip causing power loss and overheating. How do you adjust the pedal play? If the clutch is cable-operated, usually the adjustment screw is located near the pedal, you measure the play, as shown by the YouTuber, you loosen the lock nut, to increase or decrease the cable tension. If the clutch is hydraulic, you must check the clutch fluid level (the reservoir is usually located near the brake); top up by checking in the user manual which is the recommended fluid, then bleed any excess air, with the help of a vacuum pump (or an assistant). If this is not enough, then you should consult a mechanic.
