How do you adjust a cable clutch on a motorcycle

In this video we see how to adjust a cable clutch: the system is valid for most models. The cable must be adjusted not too tight or too loose, because the play we have in the lever must be just enough to allow the clutch to engage and disengage properly. We need to remove the sheath and both the locking screw and the threaded cable come out. If the clutch disengages too early the bike starts too soon, so the screw must be unscrewed, then the cable, and then the play is reduced - this will favor the engagement. However, if we stretch it too much, the clutch is always engaged, never disengages, and can burn out. So we need to unscrew the screw and screw in the block. Keep in mind that the clutch is very sensitive to temperature changes.
