(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial
Model: (Various brands) Various
Let's see in this video how to check if the clutch of our manual car is worn out. There are two very simple ways: the first is while we are driving and keep the car at 2/2500 rpm. We squeeze the clutch and rev the engine, then release the clutch. If the car continues to rev up, it means that the clutch is starting to wear. We gradually climb the march. The lower the gear it still does this at, the more worn the clutch will be. Another way: fully depress the clutch pedal, put it in first gear and look - visually - where it disengages, lifting slowly. The higher it detaches, the higher the degree of clutch wear. Then there are two types of problems on the clutch, hopping and slipping. The latter is when the clutch is now worn out, hopping is when it is now stained with oil because perhaps it is losing a thrust bearing, or the flywheel is oval.
