How to Properly Adjust the Driver's Seat in Your Car

How do you find the correct driving position? This is something many of you may not have considered. You need to find a seat position that allows you to press the pedals without fully extending your leg and with your pelvis firmly against the backrest; first, because you would tire easily, and second, because in the event of an accident, you could seriously fracture your leg. However, do not sit too close, as this would obstruct the steering wheel. For height adjustment, ensure your head does not touch the roof while still having a clear view of the road. Now adjust the steering wheel: it should not be too far away that you cannot reach it, or too high that it obscures the instruments. The backrest should be kept almost vertical to stay close to the steering wheel; if you drive reclined, you may let go of the steering wheel when turning, or you may need to lift yourself, which could restrict your seatbelt and compromise your control of the vehicle. Additionally, keeping the seat upright ensures the headrest can perform its function in the event of an accident, which is to prevent whiplash.
