In this video, you will learn how to correctly align the front headlights: first, ensure you are on level ground and that the vehicle is at its normal load; check the tyre pressure to ensure it is correctly set. Additionally, the bulbs must be in good condition and installed correctly (some regulations in use in the United States are mentioned).

Park the car 25 feet from the wall (7.62 metres), then mark the central point of the light beam.

The optical centre should be marked inside the headlight by a small circle; then check the lights against the reference line and, if necessary, adjust the driver’s side headlight so that the demarcation line touches the horizontal reference line. If necessary, adjust the passenger side headlight as well: turning the screw clockwise will raise the beam, while turning it counterclockwise will lower it. Usually, the aiming specifications are indicated in the user and maintenance manual of your vehicle.
