Cleaning and Polishing Dull Headlights

The method described is the only valid one that achieves a lasting result: it is a bit more laborious and time-consuming, but good results are only obtained this way. You will need sandpaper with grits of 500/800/3000, a spray bottle with water, a car polish, and a soft cloth. Apply masking tape around the headlight to protect the bodywork from accidental scratches during sanding. Start with wet 500 grit, wetting the headlight as well. Sand in circular and even motions over the entire surface. In the end, the headlight will appear dull and white. Now do the same with 800 grit, and finally with 3000 grit. Now the headlight is clear again. Dry it thoroughly and apply the polish to remove micro-scratches. The headlight will be clear and shiny again. Apply the polish every six months to prevent the headlight from dulling again.
