Symptoms of a Blown Head Gasket

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Checks and maintenance

In recent years, head gaskets have become tri-metallic, meaning they are made of three metals, and sit between the engine and the cylinder head. If the gasket were to fail, water would enter the piston, wetting the spark plug and preventing combustion in at least one of the cylinders. You may notice a drop in coolant level without any apparent reason, and you might see a sort of emulsion, resembling mayonnaise, in the oil reservoir. The reason for a blown head gasket is overheating of the engine; perhaps a stuck fan is causing the temperature to rise (check this) and burning the gasket. In such cases, you may see white smoke coming out like exhaust gas.

How to Repair the Key Spring of the Peugeot 207?

Over time, frequent use of the key's flip mechanism in the vehicle, dozens of times a day, inevitably leads to wear of the internal spring. As shown in this video, replacing the spring is quite simple and takes little time. After opening the casing halfway, first position the key, then the spring housing, and finally insert the spring into the previously mentioned housing. Close the casing by rotating it clockwise, ensuring all components fit perfectly, and test the key's flip mechanism.
