This video provides precise indications on how to check if the interior of a used car you are considering purchasing has been replaced. This does not necessarily mean that the car has more miles than stated: there can be many reasons for an interior or part of it to be replaced.

However, it is important to notice these details. In this case, we see that the two sides of the same seat have the leather (or faux leather) perforations; if the inner side is longitudinal, the outer side (the one by the door) is horizontal.

It is unlikely that the manufacturer installed them this way, and indeed, upon closer inspection, there is a second row of stitching holes on the outside, and more loose points on the inside of the seat. The outer part of the seat wears out more quickly.

What does this mean? Perhaps it was just someone who made many short trips and got in and out frequently. It is important to be aware of these details to make your own assessments.
