What to do if the tailgate lock of the Volkswagen Touran stops working? We see it in this video. We start by folding down the rear seat, so we can reach the lock from inside the tailgate: on the version we see, it is even possible to completely remove one, in order to easily reach the lock. From the inside, we see a hole that allows us to unlock the lock, and then remove it, disconnecting the electrical part. We see the lock removed from its housing. We can find the new lock for example on E-Bay with the code 392641016150 at the price of 27.90 euros, free delivery. All that's left is to screw the lock back into its housing and reconnect the electrical plug. We reassemble the seat and the job is done.
