In this article, we will illustrate how to dismantle the rear bumper of the Volkswagen Golf 6 for replacement. For this operation, a flat screwdriver and a Torx T20 key will be necessary.

To dismantle the bumper, first remove the side trim of the boot to access the headlight block and remove it by turning it counterclockwise. After removing it, you need to take out the headlight by pressing on the sides to unlock the securing clips.

Once the headlights are removed, take out the Torx screws located in the wheel arches and at the bottom of the bumper. After removing the screws, use the flat screwdriver to press on the upper securing clips of the bumper, then lever it outwards to remove it.
