How to replace the thermostat of a Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

Good morning, today's goal is to replace the thermostat of our Volkswagen Golf. First of all, we need to make sure that the engine is cold. Locate the position of the thermostat on the engine. Remove the water hose and surrounding parts to access it. Once located, unscrew the fixing bolts of the thermostat and remove it. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly. Install the new thermostat making sure it is positioned correctly and tighten it with the bolts. Reinstall the water hose and previously removed parts. Finally, fill the cooling system with coolant and check for leaks. Once we have completed this step, we will have finished replacing the thermostat of our Volkswagen Golf.
