Replacing the Thermostat Assembly on a Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI

In this guide, we will see the instructions that will allow us to dismantle and replace the thermostat assembly on the Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start by removing the upper plastic cover of the engine; then disconnect the turbocharger hose, followed by the thermostat pipe (draining the coolant into a container). At this point, unscrew the thermostat screws, disconnect the lines and the connector to remove it and replace it with the new original one; then top up with new antifreeze!
