How to change the battery of a Volkswagen Golf 6 1.6 petrol car

In this very useful tutorial, we can see how to replace the battery of a sixth generation Volkswagen Golf, powered by a 1.6 petrol engine. Let's start by opening the engine compartment and locating the battery located on the driver's side above the air filter box, then we open the battery cover and with a 10mm wrench we start by disconnecting the negative terminal cable and then the positive terminal cable. Once this is done, we remove the battery cover and with a 14mm wrench we unscrew the nut of the battery mounting bracket to remove it, now we can extract the old battery and then insert a new one following the reverse procedure.
