How to open the engine hood of a Volkswagen Polo?

To open the engine hood of a Volkswagen Polo, you must first locate the internal release lever located near the steering column, usually on the left side of the dashboard. Once located, pull the lever firmly towards you. You will feel the hood release slightly. Next, push the hood release button, usually located on the front of the radiator grille, towards the center of the car. At this point, lift the hood manually until it remains open. Make sure the hood is fully open and locked in position before working on the engine or closing the hood.
