How do you replace the window regulator of the Volkswagen New Beetle?

In order to replace the window regulator of the Volkswagen New Beetle, you need to loosen the screws that fix the door panel to its housing: these screws will be located at the bottom of the panel and under the handrail trim. Once all these components have been removed, it will be possible to disconnect the underlying connectors and loosen the screws that fix the window regulator mechanism to its seat; at this point, the mechanism can be removed and then the new one can be inserted, connecting it to its seat and fixing it properly.
