Let's see in this video how to mount universal roof bars on a Volkswagen Golf. Universal roof bars are used on cars with rails (fixed bar clamped in the car roof) and without. We assemble the bar holder kit as shown in the video with the bars calibrated according to the width of the car. We rest the brackets at the two ends of the doors on the original handrails of the car. Once the width of the anchoring brackets has been adjusted, we tighten the pins with the butterfly bolt (if lock is present) until they are completely anchored on the roof rails of the car. Finally, we apply the safety caps on both sides.
