How do you remove the central tunnel of the Volkswagen Tiguan?

In order to remove the central tunnel of the Volkswagen Tiguan, you first need to remove the gear knob and the leather covering that wraps around the lever; you can then proceed to detach the trim around the air conditioning controls. At this point, you will need to loosen all the screws that fix the central tunnel laterally, located along both sides. By then unscrewing the screws at the base of the central armrest, it will be possible to detach the entire covering of the central tunnel, so that the new replacement piece can be inserted. After the replacement, you can verify that everything is functioning correctly.
