Let's see how to replace the glove box lock of a Volkswagen Golf. First, we need to remove the damaged lock: insert the key to retract the small piece of metal that we can see in the video, then cut a small piece of metal into small pieces, wedging them around the lock, pushing firmly out of the handle, while keeping the key inside: this is because all the small pieces of metal inside, otherwise, would fall out making the repair very difficult. Now take the new lock and insert our block, using the fixing screw to form a thread: screw it in and out several times. We will need another torx 15 screwdriver, no longer than 10 cm. Once the lock is in position, we will enter laterally with the screwdriver and tighten the fixing screw.
