How to open the trunk of the Volkswagen Tiguan in an emergency

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan BW, MK 2, AD - Years 2016-2025

In case of emergency, it is possible to open the trunk of the Volkswagen Tiguan from the inside using a simple flat-head screwdriver. To perform this operation, we must open the passenger side door and fold down the rear seat. Once inside the vehicle, we remove the plastic cover of the trunk lock. Using the flat-head screwdriver, we move the yellow mechanism of the lock, in this way the trunk will open automatically. Once the trunk is open, it may be necessary to replace the lock to resume proper functioning.
