In a Volkswagen Tiguan, the electronic opening of the rear boot may fail, making it seemingly impossible to open. This guide shows how to perform an emergency manual opening.

First, go to the rear seat and recline it using the lever on the outer side. Once done, head to the boot area and locate the small flap near the lock.

After removing it, lift the white plastic element upwards while simultaneously raising the boot.
