Let's see how it is possible to retract the electronic brake piston on the Volkswagen Golf 7 using the Kingbolen diagnostic tool. After connecting the device to the EOBD port, we go to the tool and click on "scan", then "automatic scan" where it will automatically find the vehicle's VIN; once it has found it, we go to "specific functions" and select "brake pad replacement". It tells us some rules to follow in order to perform this operation, we confirm, give the model of the car, then select "brake electronics" and then "retraction of the brake cylinder", confirm and a light on the dashboard turns on. We replace the brake pads and then "release the brake cylinder", the light turns off and everything is back in place.
