How do you reset the Service light of the Volkswagen Golf 7?

The Service indicator that appears on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Golf 7 can be reset by pressing and holding the 0.0 button located in the center of the instrument panel while it is turned off. Continuing to hold down this button, you will need to turn the key inside the ignition switch so that the instrument panel can be turned on. Releasing this button will display a message asking if you really want to reset the maintenance and oil indicator. Pressing the OK button located on the right lever of the steering wheel or on its right spoke will make the indicator disappear.
