The following instructions will show us how to disassemble and replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 1.4 16V. First, we open the hood of the car and start by removing the cooling liquid tank and the windshield washer tank, then we also remove the engine support (unscrewing the fixing screws); then we remove the distribution cover to access the belt, as shown in the video. At this point, we take the necessary references for the replacement of the timing belt, also replacing the water pump kit.
