To resolve this issue, completely remove the old fabric and any sponge residue from the support, then glue the new fabric; this operation obviously requires removing the headliner, which involves taking off the sun visors, handles, pillar trims, and light fittings: the panel will then be extracted through the rear hatch. Cleaning the support is essential for the adhesion of the new fabric, and upholstery glue should be applied to both surfaces, allowing it to dry for a few minutes before bonding the two elements.
