How do you reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Sharan?

You can completely reset the Service indicator that appears on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Sharan by pressing and holding the button located on the right side of the instrument panel while it is off. While continuing to hold this button, you can insert the key into the ignition and turn it to power on the instrument panel. At this point, you can turn the button located on the left side to make the indicator disappear completely; then you can release the button and turn off the ignition.
