Replacing the Boot Lock on a Volkswagen Golf MK6

In this video, we can see how to replace the damaged boot lock on a Volkswagen Golf MK6: after opening the lock from inside the boot using the appropriate lever, we examine the lock and see that there are indeed problems. We can find the replacement part, for example, on tarostrade.it with the code 60-0353-N-108382 at a price of £11.95 plus £6.49 for shipping. We need to unscrew the screws holding the internal cover of the tailgate; it won't be necessary to remove it completely, just move it slightly at the location of the lock, which we will remove with an 8 mm bit from both sides, and then disconnect the electrical connector located at the back. Take the new one and proceed in reverse: connect the connector, secure the two bolts, and then replace the plastic cover, fastening it with its screws. And that's it!
