How to Remove the Glove Box from the Volkswagen Passat B8

Here’s how to remove the glove box from the Volkswagen Passat B8: empty the glove box: on the upper and side outer edges of the glove box, you will find three visible T20 screws with the glove box open: start by unscrewing those. Under the radio/infotainment module, towards the back, there is a T20 screw that secures the glove box to the cross member: unscrew that one as well. On the left and right sides of the glove box, there are two T20 screws that secure the glove box to the bracket. Those need to be removed too. At the bottom of the cavity, there is one last T20 screw (this is the hardest to reach). At this point, the glove box should come out by sliding it towards you or by levering the retaining hooks. Don’t forget to disconnect the internal light connector.
