The issue of the air conditioning blowing hot air from the passenger side when set to minimum (while the driver’s side is cold) is a common problem on Volkswagen Golf VII models. The YouTuber checked the V158 and V159 motors, which are functioning correctly. The compressor works, and the climatronic has been calibrated correctly. The air conditioning blowing hot air from one side is a classic symptom of low refrigerant charge; another possibility is that the thermal expansion valve (TXV) is stuck in a partially closed position. Therefore, the first step is to check the refrigerant charge and test the system's efficiency by measuring the temperatures within the circuit to see if the expansion valve is working correctly (this work should be done by a professional).
