How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Caddy MK1

Here’s how to reset the service light on a Volkswagen Caddy MK1: Press and hold the brake pedal (do not release it during the procedure); at the same time, press the button below the speedometer (the one on the left, with an icon of a key or a clock). Now turn on the ignition and release the button below the speedometer while continuing to hold the brake. Press the button below the rev counter (on the right) once; press the button below the speedometer again once, and finally turn off the ignition (turn the key to "OFF"). Upon the next ignition, the Service light should be gone or reset to the next mileage counter.
