How to Locate the Fuses in a Volkswagen Passat

To locate the fuses in a Volkswagen Passat, check for the fuse boxes in the cabin and under the bonnet. The first is located on the left side of the dashboard and can be accessed by opening the driver's door and removing the side cover panel. Here, you will find the fuses that protect most of the internal electrical systems. A second fuse box is installed under the bonnet, generally near the battery, inside a box covered by a plastic lid. Depending on the trim, there may also be an additional box dedicated to specific equipment. To identify each fuse, refer to the legend on the lid or the diagram in the user and maintenance manual.
