How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

To replace the dipped beam bulb of the front headlight on a Volkswagen Golf, open the bonnet and locate the back of the affected headlight. Remove the circular plastic cover that protects the bulb by turning it counterclockwise. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb. At this point, unclip the metal retaining spring or rotate the bulb holder, depending on the type of headlight fitted. Remove the worn bulb and insert the new one of the same type, ensuring the correct orientation and avoiding touching the glass with your fingers. Refit the spring or bulb holder, reconnect the electrical connector, and replace the protective cover. Turn on the headlights to check the correct operation of the dipped beam.
