In the Volkswagen Transporter T5, the air filter is located inside the engine compartment, under the windscreen and at the top left. The replacement does not require special tools; to complete it, open the filter box by first disconnecting the intake hose and the electrical connector of the mass air flow sensor. Once the cover is removed, you can access the air filter, which can be extracted from its housing and replaced with a new one. It is recommended to clean the filter box with a handheld vacuum or cloth before placing the new filter.
