You can adjust the handbrake of a Volkswagen Touran by opening the ashtray located at the rear of the centre console: once opened, you can detach it to access the components underneath. Here you will find the nut that allows you to adjust the tension of the handbrake cable: by tightening the nut, you can make the handbrake firmer, reducing the lever travel. Conversely, by loosening the corresponding nut, you will make the lever softer and increase the travel.
