How to replace the cigarette lighter fuse placed in the dedicated box on a Volkswagen Golf 5. We open the door and enter the car body, remove the cover placed in the glove compartment on the right side with a plastic lever; we remove the cap from it. Remove the damaged fuses placed in the compartment with needle nose pliers. Once this operation has been carried out, let's insert the new fuses in the appropriate housing in the compartment. Finally, we close the fuse holder inspection box with the covering cap. We test the correct functioning of the car by turning on the instrument panel with the appropriate key.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

In order to open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5, you need to press the appropriate button inside the passenger compartment, which is located in the rear part of the glove box on the driver's door. By pressing the button, the flap will unlock and it will then be possible to open it manually. Once the flap has been opened, the fuel tank access cap must be unscrewed. To close everything again, it will be sufficient to screw the tank cap again; subsequently, the flap must also be closed, pressing it so that it fits thanks to its locking mechanism.
