To clear the Service light displayed on the dashboard of the Volkswagen New Beetle, you need to press and hold the 0.0/SET button located in the centre of the dashboard while it is turned off. While continuing to hold the button, insert the ignition key into the ignition lock and turn it to activate the display; at this point, continue to hold the 0.0/SET button until the reset of the light is complete.

Once the reset is finished, you can turn off the dashboard by removing the key from the lock.
