How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen New Beetle?

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen New Beetle, press and hold the button located at the bottom centre of the instrument cluster while it is off. Continue to hold the button and insert the ignition key into the ignition barrel, turning it to switch on the instrument cluster: now, initially release the button and then press it again for a few seconds. When the spanner icon disappears from the instrument cluster, release the button and the light will be successfully reset.
