To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen New Beetle, turn on the instrument cluster by rotating the key in the ignition switch: once the cluster is on, navigate through the menu using the directional controls on the right side of the steering wheel.

Scroll to select the "Service" option by pressing the OK button: at this point, select the "Reset" option and then confirm the message that appears.

Now you can turn off and turn on the instrument cluster to verify that the reset has been successful.
