To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen New Beetle, press and hold the button located at the lower centre of the instrument cluster while it is off. Continue holding this button, then insert the key into the ignition barrel and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster.

At this point, keep holding the 0.0/SET button until the reset of the light is complete.

Once the reset is done, you can turn off the instrument cluster by turning the key back.
