Replace Key Battery for VW Golf

Is the remote battery dead? Not sure how to proceed? Let's go through the process. Take your remote and press the release button of the metal key. Once the metal key pops out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Open the other part of the cover, then extract the battery with a small screwdriver. Refit the two parts of the cover, press on the key case until you hear the locking click. Join the two covers and check the proper functioning of the remote by pressing the buttons.
