Removing the Starter Motor from Volkswagen Golf 5

In this video tutorial, you will see the main steps to remove the starter motor from a fifth-generation Volkswagen Golf. First, lift the bonnet and disconnect the battery terminals. Next, disconnect the intake hose and remove the air filter bracket and the entire airbox. Now disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor, as shown in the video, and undo the nut. Also, undo the central nut with a socket spanner and remove the bracket from the underside of the car. Once all bolts are removed, extract the starter motor!
