Removing the Wing Mirror from a Jetta

To remove the external mirror from a VW Jetta, start by removing the window winder located on the panel. Take off the cover of the handle and the cover at the corner of the window. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws located in the handle, then remove the handle from the trim near the lever (remove the securing screws). Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the securing clips: grasp the panel with your hands and remove it. Locate the electrical connector for the mirror and disconnect it. Unscrew the screws of the mirror and remove it. Replace the old mirror with a new one.
