Replacing the Reverse Switch on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Today, you will learn how to remove and replace the reverse switch on a fourth-generation Volkswagen Golf. First, open and lift the bonnet of your car: then locate the reverse switch and disconnect the electrical connector by pressing on the tab. At this point, using a 22 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the sensor, finishing by hand; remove it and replace it with the new one. Reinstall it, tightening first by hand and then with the wrench; finally, reconnect the electrical connector!
