Removing the Exterior Mirror on a Golf 5

Using a small flat screwdriver, a plastic trim tool, or any sharp tool, detach the glass from the mirror from its support. Disconnect the heating connector. Working slowly, remove the main cover by pulling it out from the clips that hold it in place. Be careful not to damage them. If your intention is to replace the glass or the cover (or both), you have already seen how to do this; otherwise, if you also want to change the indicator bulbs, you will need to remove the black circular plastic on which they are mounted.

How to Replace the External Wing Mirror on a Ford C MAX
