Change Speakers on Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

Learn how to remove the speaker from inside the door of the Passat. Open the door and start disassembling the cover panel. Remove the handle cover: unscrew the screws located in the handle, then remove it from the trim near the lever. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips. Grip the panel with your hands and pry it away from the door, then unscrew the speaker retaining screws. After disconnecting the electrical connector, replace the speaker with a new one.
