Instructions for Removing Front Seat

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Seat

Slide the seat all the way forward to expose the plastic cover of the rail and access the plastic cap protecting the fixing screws, which must be removed to unscrew the screws (from both sides).
Then slide the seat all the way back to access the front fixing screws and unscrew them. At this point, you can pull the seat from the rails, but to remove it completely, you must first disconnect the airbag pretensioner connector (it may be advisable to disconnect the battery to avoid triggering warning lights).
