Removing the front seat from a Volkswagen Golf? Here’s how to do it. Move the seat back (using the metal handle) and raise the seat base, then unscrew the securing bolts on the front rail with a socket spanner. After unscrewing the front bolts, you can unscrew the rear ones.

Move the seat forward with the lever and remove the securing pins from the rear of the rail. Disconnect the power connectors for the front seat (pull the seat out of the vehicle).

Fit the new seat into the sliding rails.
