How to Replace the External Wing Mirror on a Volkswagen Passat

Before you start, open the door of your Volkswagen Passat. Begin by unclipping and removing the window switch panel, then disconnect the relevant electrical connector. Next, unscrew and remove the screws securing the door panel. After that, unclip and pull away the door panel, then disconnect the various cables and electrical connectors, and unclip and move the internal cover near the external wing mirror. This will give you access to the mirror's fixing nuts. Proceed to disconnect the relevant electrical connectors, then unscrew and remove the fixing bolt. At this point, extract and remove the external wing mirror, completing the disassembly. To install the new mirror, follow this procedure in reverse, and the replacement will be finished.
