How to dismantle the external rearview mirror in the Volkswagen Passat?

In this tutorial we can see how to dismantle the external rearview mirror in the Volkswagen Passat, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, we open the door in which we will work, then we unhook the handle cover and unscrew all the fixing screws indicated with a Torx T30 key. We then separate the panel from the door, remove the upper cover and disconnect the connector of the adjustment motor. At this point, all that remains is to unscrew the two fixing bolts, remove the mirror from the base and install the replacement following the reverse procedure.
